To reach the perfect shade of dark blue, the canvas is then hand-dipped into the natural indigo vat (bath) up to 20 times. A lot of labor yields a natural denim blue that fades as you wear it, revealing the texture of the fabric like a great pair of jeans. The dye will stabilize, but until then, remove leather handles and wash separately in cold water. Hang dry in the shade, as sunlight will fade the dye. Store item in a dark place.
