Nothing prepares you for the riot of apricot & tangerine hued Bottryloid Ascidians when you first find them diving. Together with the most intricate structure of the colony, which looks like rich tapestry, and which the Germans aptly call “Flower Animals”, you cannot help but be taken by these stunning creatures.
Whenever I dive or snorkel, I get drawn to these unusual invertebrates with a design second to none and these earrings are my attempt to translate these delicious creatures into semi-precious earrings.
The earrings feature raw salmon-tangerine-orange Agate Geodes with the mesmerizing patterns and a still crystallising core, found in these unique gemstones from Jaipur, India.
I mixed them with very delicious light purple faceted Amethysts & recycled glass beads and set them into a 22k gold-plated from Istanbul & Seoul. It's a an uplifting colour combination I am eternally attracted to because it so perfectly compliments black.
